Above All Else, Love Fiercely
In the end, we really only have ourselves, and the people we loved who we leave behind.
So, be kind to yourself. And attentive, and patient. Listen to your heart, and trust your instincts. Be strong in your convictions, but soft in your compassion. Because a strong spirit and a soft heart is the greatest combination.
And love. Above all else, love fiercely. Love with no regret. You can love many people in your lifetime - it can be messy love, and broken love. Love that you don’t understand, and love that you may not get back. But love anyway.
Sure, you’ll leave behind “things”. Which will be passed on, given away, and stored. And these things will serve as memories of you. But they’re not you. Only the love that you gave to others will last. It’s the strongest reflection of you, and what people will remember.
I believe there’s a reason “love” is the most used word in the Bible…
Love is what inspires your legacy, and the actions of those you leave behind. It can literally change the world.
So love, real hard. Say it, show it, believe it and live it. Live every day with love as your goal and your guide. We need more of that, and life is way too short.
